We chose these items because they show how the BLM movement was taking action. There were a lot of ways that you could bring awareness to the movement. One of those ways was every NBA team had “Black Lives Matter” stamped on their warmup gear and even on their jerseys. Another way of representing the movement from the NBA had painted the basketball courts “Black Lives Matter”.

The items that we have chosen, all show movement through pictures. As you can see in the three pictures, there is writing on the jerseys and shirts of the NBA players. When the Washington Wizards attended the movement they decided to march with signs to bring awareness to the cause. We also have a meme picture where it tries to explain why players who stand up are “Sheep” and the men who kneel are the “real men”. We can see why there is hate towards players who are not in on the movement because of their own stance. But, when times like this come you can not go against your own brothers. As an African American during the time, you would be looked down upon if you were to go against what your brothers were fighting for to stand during the national anthem even when everyone else is kneeling. Some people have different reasons for kneeling but that overrides your reasoning when your brothers are kneeling.
